OM F-ING GEEEEEEE!!
La Mountainia - Mnt Mudeung-San
Right i love hiking. love it. and i finally got to do some. we are in the south of korea and it is surrounded by mountains. so we go to the mountain.
crazy hiking day, its harder than i thought. and apparently the little kids can do it better than me. they are speeding by and im like the big bad woolf. - huffing and puffing. jeeeeez. hhaaahaha.
but we make it. its a cool day out. i have to say. the suns out and i get to flex my leg muscles. also im wearing a loverly nice spandex suit. haha. hot. im trending leggings for me is gonna be huge. trust meeeee! trust me.
im alll about trending. trending. so check back for my updates on what i think is gonna be huge this year. i got a feeling. love it.
trying not to sprain my knee again. so im taking it easy. damn you Machu Picchu. oh funtimes.
then home. ate some kimbap and then passed out face down in my pillows.

Shopping Saturday/ bake sale/ river/ feather store/ food/ and so much more
Well its gonna be a busy saturday. haha well late night last night but i have to wake up early cos i have soo much to do. its insane. mostly shop.
i decide to go downtown early so i can get some me time in the shops. first do a round of checking out prices to make sure that the base is good. instead of purchasing something in one store and then walking into a store next dooor and finding the exact same thing for half the price (ee) most things that end in (e) here you just elongate and then people understand. Orange becomes Orange-eee. seriously (ee) hehe lying about that one.
so im stumbling along and then make my way to Uniqlo. you dont even understand its been sooo long since ive held a wanting hand --- where is that from. haha. anywho theres nothing like the smell of that first entry with the intention to buy.
like a new car smell. they should bottle it so i can carry it around with me all of the time. essence of new clothing. love it. so i hit up the top two floors and like a kid in a cupcake store im all over that shizzle and my adahd (izzle) aint helping. the colours are popping and locking and im like oooh , aaah, yummy noises.
anywho got some black skinnies and a cool ass jumper. hot. cant wait to rock it out.
then just moving around town checking it out. found a bake sale. loads of yummy western cakes. apple cinnamon muffins. very tasteee and delicious. and i meet some friends.
found my way to the river. it was nice, the sun was out and i had a cool time tanning. much to the amusement of the locals. cos um tanning is a bit not dejour here haha. they just stared whilst i got my skin out. not too much just arms and legs. haha . soo good. vitamin d me up.
chilled and then a crazy tshirt store. that i now love. hotness. and then dinner and drinks with the Aprilepics and some more kareoke - i think my new fave is CHER. (do you beliiiiiieve in life after love)

what to do with Wina Manje Millions
So today is payday and i cant wait. the anticipation is mounting and well im totally ready for this. the credit card is just about maxed out and now i just want to roll in the cash. seriously im going to get a few hundred thousands out and then change em into singles and then roll in em. throw it up in the air and rooooool with it baby.
but alas i have to wait for 430pm and then chaching. its working.
i go to the bank check my balance and not only am i a millionaire, but im a multi millionare. nice!
i draw a few thou and im out. tonight is gonna be party tastic. shots shots shots shots shots shots. everybodayy. well maybe not. im very tired and i should be concentrating on my beauty sleep.
haha - but i go out anyway. first dinner with the kids - we meet up with some Seoul locals and have a bacon dIY dinner. its amazing. then off to the german bar with friends and then we sing some crazy kareoke. We hit up bubble bar. hmm not happening and then soul train. its cool i like it ive never been before but im liking it. its chilled and the atmos is less smokey than usual.
so its time to sleep cos tomorrow im gonna be burning the moola like rubber baby. first stop will be uniqlo for some much needed retail therapy. i havent bought any clothing in like a month. that is harsh. seeing i usually try and aquire an item of clothing per day in my regular life. but for now im dreamin of rubbing myself all up in uniqlos business tomorrow.

Wednesdaisy with a Hooka pt 1
So one of my teaching pals is supposed to graduate today and we decide to have a quick dinner for her.
Wowee what a night this would turn out to be.
Well we went out for dinner, to the same place as saturday and i know better than to order the realllly spicey meal thing that will basically melt your face off. Seriously i think i removed like 5 layers from my tounge! oucheee and also my intestinal tract. But thats good - it burnt away all of the crazy animals thats been hiding in there for sooo long. bye bye mr tape worm. hahha
anywho over dinner we get to talking and mr john informs me of a sisha pipe place that hes heard of but not managed to locate. a nice shisha would be awesome right now. so we are going to get dessert at the moulin rouge as well.
but before this i gave Xtina - the mono - to the Mono_chop - allow me to explain this in a later post. hehe.
so i gave her a quick tutorial on how to get from her housee to the subway. cutting about 40min from her dubiousl 50min bus ride downtown. eeeeep.
anywho so we end up at moulin and then right across the alley is the Ethnic cafe. Home to the sisha. yay score.

Well since my bromance is gone. Ima nap. its been a crazy weekend fo real reall and i need to recharge my batteries. So I get home and just sink into my bed. Just about managed to remove my shoes and then im out like a light.

Whered he goooo? i want my bromance back
So the nickster left today. boooooooo. on the KTX and then on a jet plane to his Palace in the UAE.
Well at least thats what i thought.
He said hes gonna try and leave today cos the crazy EYayayayayayaya Volcano decided to spew its dirt all over Europe and now everyone is having a backlog or whatever. So he was heading to Seoul and then back West. its wierd cos i know it as the middle east but now that im in the East everthing is kinda different.
Coolio - im super tired cos wow who knew having an attache was such hard work. but fun work. hehe.
so im at school and im like well hell let me know when he gets to Seoul. 12pm nope.
1pm nope. okay. then when it hit 12am and still no word for St Nick i was like omg they kidnapped my bear and they are now holding him ransom. And i only become a millionaire in a week. hehehe.
So i wait and i wait. hmm kinda like waiting for a chicken to hatch. at some point if its taking too long you are gonna kinda go nuts and wonder if theres a chicky in the eggy. hahah
Then wonders of wondersm, Yeay, word that hes alive and not in some dungeon somewhere being whipped by a hot asian lady - asking him to talk in a harsh british voice. heehehe. although i know he'd like that. Very much indeedy. Too much indeedy id guess. hahaha. Dream on slick.
But im happy that hes ok and now i can hold off on sending out the non-existant search party. hes happy to be back in Abu and im not so happy cos i have no big spoon tonight.

ice cream in the moulin rouge
so we found this cool coffee shop. two levels and kitched out like you cant imagine.
Pink polkadotted curtains and couches, crazy lamps and chandeliers and just randomness that spells amazingness. i dont know one of my new fave spots so far.
hung out with the nickster and sonia-face and then just chilled for three hours. its been a pretty intense weekend so its cool just to chat without shouting and such. and then eating some icecream with cornflakes.
i feel like cornflakes are the go to side dish here. but im liking it. alota! hehe.
Soo then we retire and sleep. nicksters gotta pack and ive got school in the am. we recap and braid each others hair. hahaha. kidding.

uptown girl? no biaatch this shizzles going down, in DTown!
Right what do you do when you are hungover - you walk around surrounded by fishyness and then window shop. and eat fried potatoes dipped in cheese. yummay
ok so we are starving adnwe find a place to eat. Korean ok. so we get there and yes the menu has pictures. score. so then we order. mind you we had one authentic pork bone meal and we order from the pic. low and behold its the same meal as thursday night. im not complaining. i loved it. its hot its spicy and its tasty.
but we are eating and then there is this unavoidable huge screen showing pics of plastic surgery. wha wha - while im eating. are you serious. hahah such a nick thing to say but i soooo havent heard it in a while. we eat, drink and are merry. and they have free ice cream. a service that im gonna be using very well in the future.
sooooooo. we leave with icecream cones in tow and window shop some more. we find a place called 'COCKS' and well its kinda a wierd thing that we found. and take some snaps with ice creams in our mouths and then my gag reflex decides to kick in promting me to cough up im Icecream and catch it. the momentum then makes nicks icecream fall out his mouth and hit the ground. Tragic childhood memories return of a fresh cone being licked only once dropping to the ground. booooooo!!!!
anywho we decide its ok and then walk along. i dont know why but we look up and then there are people waving at us from these overly decorated booths and drinking coffee. what do we do.
lets go join them of course. we dont know them - but fuck it. hay ho lets go.

Sundays are for picking up the confused.
so fresh from waking up from an epic night, the nickster and i decided that downtown was for def where it was gonna be hat. hotties. uniqlo, fresh food, but mostly UNIQLO! and we decided to sleep in and then go out. and i persuaded nickster to stay in my den of crazy for one more day. yay!
while he mongs - i watch my new favourite soapie - 'I like you' its a bout a guy and a girl sharing a house. shes been dumped by her boyfriend who then gets married when she goes away and then she walks in on his wedding. her housemate is a hottie who pretends to be gay so he they can live together. dramaaa.
anywho its in korean so i only have the visuals and my own twisted rose coloured romantique crazy random paranoid thoughts to go with it. but its fun. im screaming at the tv and nick is laughing at me cos he thinks im crazy until he joins me and we both are enthralled by it all.
the best part is when she gets her period in the bathroom of a restauant and she calls him to go get her tampons and he does and then hes too afraid to give it to her. Now thats friendship. love.
anywho then i get soniaface online and shes gonna be at sangmu. and since i live down the road - im like yo yo. shes stranded no-one pitched. haha. she joins the nickjj gang and we are off for coffee and a bagel and then we hit downtown.

Dance dreams come true
so since discovering BigBang and Lollipop ive wanted to dance to it in a club. and yes Houzeeee which not only has top class mixing djs and looks amazing inside - played this little ditty.
not gonna lie i nearly peed myself - this is ma jammmmn - like dammmn. haha
Xtina missed out. hahah but okailey and i grooved! and so did nick. wow.
and to top it off this guy Jake taught me how to do the Bubi dance. hahaha
yay! love it. then more free tipple and then some crazy dance. getting thrown out of VIP. Nick and I mistaking our own hot relfections as hot hotties in the full length mirrors (although i would do me regardless - haha). The uncontrolable urge to do our hair - cos every other boy in the club was doing it too, and then petting this beautiful Alaskan Husky on the way out. Wow its fur was soooo soft and it had eyes to die for. Im a sucker for blue eyes. and yes im really talking a bout a dog. nick has the pics to prove it.

Uniqlo - I am saved and i basically groped the store!
This is the first time ida been downtown bar dancingness. And during the day perchance. and it is everything i dreamed of an more. Fashon Fashon everywhere. even the littlest kids. for real real. im jealous and i wish i were them, cos i wasnt nearly as cool as them at my tender age.
haha the best part came when a little old lady scold nick cos he wanted to take a pic of her dried up octopus. not a euphamism although im sure ill find a way of throwing it into a conversation at some point its too good not too. anywhos.
so ive been gutted that i had to leave 95% of my wardrobe behind at home and well now im dressing like an old maid - cos it was mainly school clothes that i had to keep in my bag as they made me unpack at the airport. damn you. i shake my fist in defiance. still!! *can you see me waving it*

anywho we are due to meet the rest of the april crew shortly and we dash off, grabbing some awesome smoothins on the way, really fresh and its the best thing ive had all day. hangovers and my stomach dont agree. i like dry crackers and tea - thatll do me.

haha the best part came when a little old lady scold nick cos he wanted to take a pic of her dried up octopus. not a euphamism although im sure ill find a way of throwing it into a conversation at some point its too good not too. anywhos.
so ive been gutted that i had to leave 95% of my wardrobe behind at home and well now im dressing like an old maid - cos it was mainly school clothes that i had to keep in my bag as they made me unpack at the airport. damn you. i shake my fist in defiance. still!! *can you see me waving it*

Buddist temple
so sometimes when travelling you kinda know that you are immersed in a different culture, but because you are so caught up in just not getting lost and other daily trappings there are some moments where you just go OH (also the title of a girls generation song) and realise you ARE in a different country and that WOW look at that.
This is what happened to me last week discovering the Temple. This week im back after doing some research and im bringing nick so we can go in and see the amazment.
Its totally cool and everything and more i expected. one of my coteachers are buddist and explained the procedure.
its really nice. there are some people praying and we just look at the beautiful murals and then we light some insence sticks and it reminds me of home. I say a little prayer and then just sit in silence at the grace and beauty of the temple.
sometimes its just nice to sit and stare. not say a word and appreciate the small things in life. Like friends.
Like Nick and the fact that ive known him for 6years now. Wow! Thank you.

Memorial Park - Pagoda
I kinda discovered this cool place a few weeks ago. cool park with pagoda and amazing buddist temple in the background.
So we walk around the park and theres a girl peeing in public, nice one. at least its in the gutter. so no one will step in it. then we walk around where more kids holla hello at me. nick is still not impressed. 'where's my bluddy hellos' he quipps in his very english accent. hehe.
then we walk around the memorial and up the hill. he is totally fascinated by the little old ladies working out in the outdoor gyms. and also the really little kids doing the same. and then is the wonder of the visors and the full face masks. im all in . i think i need a visor and a face mask cos its might smoggy at some parts of the day.
we hike up about 10 stairs and whoa - discussing the loverly weather and then we get charged by a crazy dog wearing a yellow hoodie. i kid you not. i kinda freeeked but did not emit my notirously girlish shreek. heheh. the owner runs around and tries catching said runaway but to no avail. needless to say the dog goes after anyone entering the park. what is this. put your puppy on a leash lady.
so we make it to the pagoda and there is a couple decending. theyve just had a picnic. hahah she is wearing really high wedges as shoes. just not this is on a really big hill. And she now insists that the boyfriend piggyback her down the hill. normal walking takes about 20min down. and with her on his back. well i just feel sorry for the poor lad. anyway he decides to do it and well 10min later they maybe walked about 20metres. hahaha poor him.
anywho we get to the top and we chat and its a loverly clear day and we take some pics and then another foreign couple come up. and they blatantly ignore us. not even an hello. um come on - whatever. i said heloo and they just ignored. how rude.
more on this my new pet peeve later.
We are off to the Buddist temple. yaya. i wonder if nick will piggy back me down the hill. oh and the crazy yellow hoodie wearing dog - yip still running up and freeking other people out.

Bulgogi and shrimp burger please.
So seriously im not really one for fast food. it all goes back to me being a fatty as a kid and that one time in Montreal when it was ridic hot and i decided to have a MCD burger and well lard and sunshine and theme park rides just dont go.
Anywho thats why im loving the food here, its fresh, filled with veg and loads of random stuff ive never eaten before but its seems to be growing on me alot. yesterday i ate seaweed and i thought it was green beans. and i didnt hurl. infact i went back for seconds.
anyway. LOTTERIA is kinda the McD of here. although they do have MCD but you can get some awesome local treats at L.
i had the bulgogi burger set. nick had bulgogi and shrimp. my students have been telling me to try it for weeks.

anyway nickster and i have a good ol chat and then we oogle the 'parking' lady directing the cars. serioulsy amazng a good bow and a good arm action, for every car. even if there were like 5 in a row. each got equal treatment.

SuperSaturday?
Cool night, crazy times and im well still very tired but for some reason my body decides its still mid week and well im up a 8am. nice. after going to bed at 4am. Good thing i decided to spoon with the Slickster haha cos i dont think me on the floor was a good idea. hmm. but suprisingly my bed even though not quite a double is big enough for two individuals. hehe now i know what its like to be the Bexter. Hot.
But it was strickly plutonic, despite what Nick might say or would have wanted to happen. haha kidding.
Anyway he is still jetlagged and i decide to use this time to lounge around and well do mostly nothing but wish i were still in bed. Sleeping. and i cant eat cos i think im still 80perc Beerju. and some wierd red thing nick was feeding me all night. Ginger whore i think it was called. or is that just my stage name. i forget. hehe
anywho so i leave the Bear to nap. Then we shower and head off to the city cos we are meeting some people laters down and the YMCA for funtimes.
We decide to rock it into Seven monkeys Coffee house, which i love for some real drip coffee, non of this sachet mixes. i go for a hoji-latte. hmmm i wonder what hoji is. we will find out.
So my latte turns out to be green and smells of the docks. Hmmm just like a night out withthe sailors i say.
but it smells worse than it is. nick burns his tongue. hmm. nice one. and then we perv on hotties walking by in high heels and little kids scream hello to me. only and not nick. they seem to be hating on him somehow which is kinda pissing him off. haha. must be the facial hair.
but wow. im for def gonna hang out at Seven Monkeys more. Free wireless too.

Downtown with Pettles
Right before you read this post check out the 'Imagine, watch and learn post" so you can have a bit of foregrounding for what im about to say.
So everyone is really hot/cute here and when i say cute i mean cute. people roam the streets in bowties, the shortest short minis and the highest heels. Im in love.
Right so freshly Glee'dup we hit the streets and end up at the speak easy to start off with. Funtimes here we come. The night starts off good and then we get into it and then it quickly becomes Funner thand fun.
Darts, never have i ever, singing dancing and performing on stages.
Then we gonna hit the cluuub! So its off to bubble bar where i first of course expected bubbles. one of my three favourtie things i have to say. sadly no bubbles. the sign on the door also says 'Project beer' sounds like fun.
Red lights, thumping beats call out from below in the basement and im game. Dance dance dance yall.
The dj is mixing like no other and its soo much better than last week when the dj decide to use youtube as his playlist. Yip. youtube.
dance, drink, flirt with the hotties. then save some friends from some overzealous 'men' and then Nick decides to only meet the pitcher of the Kia Tigers. Damn, why aint that meeee. Baby daddy yall. Or at least a suggar daddy.
But it was fun. and before we know it its time to head home and what a fun taxi ride it was. Fun. fun fun!
We get home - chat talk and then fall fast asleep dreaming of tomorrow night and how to make it even more epic! With The Nickster here, how can it not be.

The Glee'ness Party.
So a group of the Special April guy and gals decided to celebrate the premier of the totally cooltastic tv hit show GLEE.
Ive been a fan since about 4 years ago i was Mr Shu teaching crazy talented kids how to sing and dance, mostly to High School musical, Wicked and Beyonce! hahaha ooooh the good times.
Anywho - so gather your friends, get some deep dish extra cheezy pizza, add some beer, soju in one room and you have a crazy party. oh and dont forget the drinking games.
and i finally got to do Beerju - since the beer has a low alc perc here drink some beer and then add a shot of soju. Hmm its as not delish as it sounds but i guess my tastebuds will learn to love it. i want to be having withdrawals at some point. hahaaha
right our Glee drinking drinking game went like this: Drink for any/all of these
1. sue being a biaatch
2. snarky comment on mr shu's perm
3.Eye Sex
4. anytime a slushy appears or gets thrown
5.lip Sex
6. singing -drink at various points throughout
7. any sense sex ( this one just got thrown in there) but it happens alot.
8... i dont remember cos i was laughing too much.

Then more pizza - i was really happy with this as i hadnt eaten any good/real cheeze here in about a month. Korea is great for food. Just not cheeze.
And then we have an Ipod wars party before we hit downtown adn dance up a storm in a relatively small 'green' tea cup!

Point and hope for the best
So its about 1030 pm on night number 1 of The Bear experience. I suggest we mozy on down the road and go to a local restaurant. We locate one. Walk in and i explain some of the traditions and stuff you have to do.
1. Leave your shoes at the door. Nick is a bit worried someone might snatch his prized loafers but i assure him thats not gonna happen.
As i dont speak much korean bar hello adn gbye we decide to embark on an adventure. hahaha also its floor seating. nicks not a fan of this. yet!
out loverly server comes over. he speaks no english and well we kinda point and say food for two and he recommends something and we just go with it. what the hell else are we gonna do. Lets just hope its not that alive ocotpus in your meal thing. Although it would be pretty awesome but i might end up throwing it at someone. but the food arrives in record time and we heat it at the table and begin tucking in.
Its a local dish, still no idea what its called but its pork rib cooked soo soft it melts in your mouth with veggies adn loads of mushrooms and pasta bits and soya leaves. i have to say im getting used to the strong pungent taste of the leaves. hmmm yummay!
We chat and catch up and it feels like old times, just in a new setting. And this is the second time in two months that ive seen Slick and its also two different countries. Wow! its amazing.
So we eat beyond fullness and then we retire. Nick has jetlagg sorta and is tired. Im tired as i ahve school in the am but still we decide to stay up an chat and watch crazy free to air 'people pooping on tv' hahah onlyin korea.
but we finally head off. and sleep dreaming of and amazing weekend thats gonna get kicked off with a Glee premier party!

The Slickster arrives
So after a crazy day of teaching but more excited than ever that on of my closest friends will be arriving in the country and that I will finally get to host somebody ( the first of many) in my home sweet home, i rushed home from school to prepare.
First, hide the dirty laundry in the washing machine, quick hose down of my bathroom and then clean the rest of the house so that i look like a respectable young man (which i am of course) and not like the flubboard messy boy i really am. Flub-board by the way is using the floors of your house as your cupboard. Which i can understandably not be given an grief for as I only have one small little cupboard which houses only 70percent of my clothing. But whatever. Flubboard!
Right so clean, and then im off to Emart to shop for a bathroom mat - cos its waaay to cold in there during the night and you suddenly loose the urge to do your thang in there if your nice underheated floors make your feet nice and toasty and then you step foot into a colder than cold meat locker.
So i chose a loverely bright yellow dog. I was going to go for a bear cos that reminds me of Mr Pettles but they were out of stock and i had to get the closest furry animal. Haha
Bread, milk, cereal and some mineral water! hmm. right in my urgency i sort of get ahead of myself and im about 1 and a half hours early and ive got time to waste. good thing i only realise this after ive checked out and so now what do i do.
Jarrod decides to walk from Sangmu to The Gwangju station. hmmm yeah its gonna take me about 40min i can do it. Just follow the yellow brick road. or the green station signs. You can already see that this is not going to end well.
Right after about 40min walking and no end in sight and a crazy overpass/traffic situation i decide to hop in a cab and get there asap. Im sick of walking and well im pissed off at myself for walking about 2miles in the cold. Such a jjdp thing to do. Remind me to tell you about what happened to me in Hollywood once!
Get to the KTX station and yayness my favourite soap is on so i watch that which i could have been doing if i took a taxi earlier and then Mr Pettles arrive. Great stuff. Poor lads been travelling for nearly 24hrs now and im glad hes here.
So the fun can begin! Its good to see familiar faces that just get you. no explaining to do and just get on with Banter!! oh the Banter!
We get home and its time for dinner! lets gooooo out!

Can you say celeb book signing. Its amazing. i should do this everyweek. well i will. i think im gonna have a really bad time in the real world without people constantly screaming my name and bowing. Im loving it.

so im tres excited cos my international man of mystery is coming to visit. Yay. Well its wierd i saw him last month and we partied in capetown and now hes in korea! hot.

snowdays or nights
it snowed last night, which apparently is pretty not normal for this time of year here. but i was well impressed and happy. its the first snow ive seen all year - well besides from when i was flying over the himalayas that one time. i just spent most of the night staring out of the window. it was magical.
but really cold, but im also loving underfloor heating. its toasty. adn then some youtube and i was off to lala land thinking about Xmas and what santas gonna bring me - even though its like 9months away.

i love that people feed me here! love it
Since i walked into school my korean peeps have been feeding me.
Which is cool - cos its a good bonding ritual - ive heard, but I'm just loving the tastes and textures and tastyness of all the yummy goodness. For lunch there was a loverely warm veggie curry thing, kimchi of course, which im loving more and more. Radishes, and a nice seaweed soup.
I swear before this id never eaten seaweed unless my sushi was wrapped in it, but its sooo yummy and its really good for you. So yess, seaweed agogogo!
then followed what is only reminiscent of jello shots. it sooo should not be served in schools. hhaha but it was tasty. And the fire alarm again. hot mess i tell ya. once again, no one made a move.
Then it was time for my first Co-co meeting. Teachers dinner - hmmmm vegetarian buffet. Really good stuff.
After numerous outings to buffet tables in the states i know not to overfill your plate on teh first go! take one of each, sample and then plan your biiiiig return. And oh yes yummmee. I was a bit suprised that they had pasta with napolitana sauce - but i guess pasta is a noodle right!
What a nice dinner - we chatted about africa, politics, and backpacking - sooo very good. and then tea and coffee -and more food.
Dessert was KumQuats - and yes the do sound as much fun as they are spelt and taste! yummy! vitamin c boost too ive been feeling a tad run down over the past few days so ive been OJ'ing it up and popping vitamins like now other.
I've got to be ready for the weekend! lots to do and lots to see and my sugar daddy is coming! hehe!
and then sooo nice of them - they all bought me some organic treats from the store - love love love! now ive got lovely wafers and chocolate biscuits that taste of cheese? anywho - i likem and if you dont try something new you'll never know right! RRIGHT!!
And as we left it started snowwwing! In april. im liking it. but it has been terribly cold and brisk today.
and i do remember quite distictly telling the kids after lunch that it feels like a dry cold, like its gonna snow. yeah it happend! Now only if i can meet the love of my life and work for Vogue! hey its out there now - so lets make it a reality!

10pm home time. are you insane
Today was suuuupeerr cold and well as it was sunny this morning i had great things in store. I decided to go for one layer instead of my usual millions look. So i get dressed and head out.
At school i get given some rocking rice cake - not the crispy shizzle you get in super markets but the really nice soft and juicy ones that im beginning to like. hmmmmmmmmmmmm
right first and last class of the day cancelled cos the kids need to revise - as if they dont already do enough of that. So i ask my co teach until what time the kids go to school. adn shes like when they are done with normal school which ends at 1630 they go off to academy's where they learn english and math - which only gets out at 10pm. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!
I thought i had it hard when i used to bolt for the gates of high school at 230pm and then went home and all i did was watch tv! How lucky i have it.
but seriously i just wanted to open the doors of my class and tell the kids to run free outside - talk to each other, braid each others hair and have boys flirt with them.
Totally running in the alps ala the sound of music. - but no they all wanted to learn! strange!

Last time i was being hounded by the sounds of bach or beethoven as I silently freeked out that the school was burning down, yet everyone was still strolling around the school grounds. Yip, those crazy pranksters.
But it got me thinking that what if there really were and emergency! Guess i'd just Stop, Drop and Roll - with it!
Anyways, so ive got to give a shout out to some of the people ive met here, that started with me. I don't think not speaking english for a while agrees with me. Sometimes you just gotta have someone to talk to - about the important things, like what the hell Lady gaga is wearing today. Right.
Takes me back to last fridays 'orientation'/ drink coffee and drink soju day! Fun Fun fun. It was the first time i really got so see and speak to the 'Sped' April group and I gotta say these kids got some swagger! hahah listen to me talking like that crackpot Ke$ha. - One hit wonder i tell ya - her party is gonna stop real soon. have you heard her second track. RUBBBBISSSSH! go get drunk and pass out in some random dude bathtub again you Glitter mess! hehe
anywho so - we went out in sangmu and before you could say never have i ever (which we sadly didnt play - dont know why - its always such a crowd pleaser right!) but we did get pickled in some soju. Koreas answer to vodka/surgical spirits. Tasty and after the first bottle well who cares right! Right.
Also whats amazing is the crazy amount of free food you get when you are drinking here. Dried octopus, tasty, and tastes just like chicken but seafoodier! yes i just invented that word. steal it and you die! haha
anyway - one bottle two bottle three bottles, more! yeah for sojuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! and making up for missing the party time in seoul.
where to next. ok we leave adn then we misplace one of our group. where is she. shite.
ok we wait. but shes gone. what to do. drown you sorrows with more soju. more drinking games and then NOREBANG! oooooh yes i think this is my new favourite sport.
In lieu of actually being a glee castmember - this party trick will be my substitute. Tambourines are gonna be huge this year - you just wait - im all about bringing that back
after a few classics - everything is starting to become all tooooo blurry - and my seafoodier octo-pigeon-us is threatening to come say hello to me. so i decide to head home. hehehe,
i get a taxi and give the driver my address adn hes like 'no- i dont know where this is - get out'
Shazam - bitch slap - anywho im like whatever dude i live down the road anyway ima gonna walk.
Have to say - the cherry blossoms have never looked cherrier nor have the air tasted any smoggier.
i make it home and its straight to bed!
So i wake up in the morning......... and like that Ke$sha slore im missing my shoe - and im like whaaaat.

Inglorious Fire drill
So the smoke alarm is going off and theres a cigarette still burning, please tell me whyyyyyyyyyyy! The car is in the driveway and I'm sleeping with my clothes on!
HAHA - just had the fire alarm go off at school. Wierd thing is no-one was moving. Everyone acted very cool-yet-caszzj!
I was a bit concerned, but more so that there was a rousing aria playing in the background - so it was very much like a movie sequence. The schools going up in flames and its set to this crazy opera music. Quite simply amazing if it were real.
Turns out some crazy kids - pulled the fire alarm. Hhehe - they are goona be in alot of trouble - especially since most teachers around carry around crazy canes - to whip with!
Oucheeee - i hope, like L'Oreal: it was all worth it.

School Lunch aint never been this healthy
Jaime Olivers sloppy turkey twizzler shenanigan-reform has nothing on Korean lunch time. All the kids and teachers eat lunch at school. Yay a welcome sight from a starving African boy!
Before I came it was severely pointed out that meat is very limited in food and that I would have to be eating loads of veg and Kimchi - ' oooh the KChi' sounds like a dirty word if i put it that way. but alas its deliciouso.
And me having just returned from my Staycation at home with about 4 cooked meals of mostly meat in RSA was looking forward to happytimes and my digestive system singing with joy with all the yummy new nutrients and organic stuff. hmm
So Lunch is usually a brothy soup, the best sticky rice, kimchi, some other vegetable usually radish in various forms and then a warm 'meat based dish' or sometihing with egg. And a seafood acoutri -mon.
And its all fresh! And very Spicy! good thing - I'm a fan of the muy caliente - or else id be in trouble. I wonder if thats the secret ingredient to making most of the locals so pretty!
Anyway - I'll do an incognito snap of my lunch tray and post a pic! I'm hungry just thinking of it now.
I wonder whats for lunch today?
Maybe lobster? its possible.

Where am I again?
Ever so often when emerging from a deep sleep - one is still under the assumption that you are still in your own bed (as in your home country). As did I. Anyway so i think i was dreaming of cake or something and then woke up! Only i forgot where I was and then slammed myself straight into the wall. Well done! This is going to be a great day.
Anyway the first day of teaching is over and I need to get cracking with the lesson plans! Yes, fun times.
But im still getting used to the 'peek-a-boo' stares and stuff - so I've gotta bring my A-game. Hell yes!
Any boo - I've got nothing in my house and I firstly need more money - that silly gas man did end up 'robbing' from me - I had to pay a crazy connection fee. And now I'm hungry, slightly warm, but I need some coffee!
Whateves, theres a biiig lunch at school so I'll have some of that and then hit the shops later. I hear they have a 'Wall-mart' type store here. Hmmmm I am now daydreaming of walking mindlessly down the aisles.
It'll have to wait! Its teaching time!
